I've baked the cookies many times using this recipe - for Chinese New Year, children's party and even charity fair. So, you can decide for yourself if this recipe is good enough for you.
Chocolate Chips Cookies
Ingredients :
226g, Unsalted Butter
3/4 cup, Granulated Sugar
3/4 cup, Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
2, Large Eggs
1 1/4 tsp, Vanilla Essence
3 cups, Plain Flour
1 tsp, Baking Soda
1 tsp, Sea Salt (reduced to 3/4 tsp if using salted butter)
1 cup, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Pre-heat oven to 160°C.
- Use an electric mixer to mix butter, granulated and brown sugar together until it becomes light and creamy.
- Add in eggs and vanilla essence and mix till well combined.
- Sift flour and baking soda together in a bowl. Add sea salt into flour mixture.
- Fold flour mixture into batter (in 3).
- Mix in chocolate chips.
- Drop about 1 tablespoon of batter onto baking tray, leaving a space of about 3 inches apart in between.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
- Remove cookies from tray to cool on a wire rack before storing them in an air-tight container.
